Abia Kidnappers free Journalists, Demand Amnesty like that of Niger Delta
The Abia Kidnappers have voluntarily released the four abducted journalists and their driver after a week in captivity and demanded for Special Amnesty similar to the amnesty granted to Niger Delta Militants to dissuade them from further criminal activities in southern part of the country. Nigerian Workers to Enjoy New Realistic Salaries - Minister of Labour
The Minister of Labour and Productivity,Chief Emeka Wogu, who is a lawyer granted the Economic Confidential magazine an Interview on various issues including unemployment in Nigeria, negotiations with labour unions, new salaries for civil servants and maltreatment of Nigerian workers by expatriates among others. Federation Account: How They Share N458.9bn in June 2010
The Economic Confidential magazine provides here the distribution of a total sum of N436.9 billion being the Statutory and VAT allocations shared to all tiers of government in June 2010 in addition to N22bn from the Excess Crude Account. From the table of net disbursements, the highest recipients are from the oil producing states with Akwa Ibom receiving N15.5bn, Rivers N14.7bn, Delta N13.5bn, Bayelsa N5.3b. The highest recipients from non-oil –producing states are Lagos N10.5n and Kano N8.5bn. No state receive less than N3bn. READ

Bauchi Spends N850mn to Renovate a Primary School
Bauchi state government has spent N850 million in renovating a primary school which can boost of 80 class rooms, a clinic, library and a computer lab, and can comfortably accommodate all pupils. The Economic Confidential gathered that the ultra modern Sa'adu Zungur Model School is the most expensive public primary school in Nigeria that cost nearly a billion Naira for the renovation alone.
